Nicole Brown Simpson Spotted O.J. Before Murder: ‘There He Is’

October 9th, 2026

O.J. Simpson's murder victim Nicole Brown Simpson's sister, Denise Brown, recalled a horrific detail about her sister's death. She recalled that their mother let out an otherworldly scream when she learnt of Nicole's murder.

Denise Brown recalls Nicole spotting O.J. Simpson on her final evening alive
According to The Guardian, the last night she spent with Nicole was at a restaurant during a family celebration. It was here that Nicole saw ex-husband O.J. Simpson outside the window. "All of a sudden she goes, 'Oh my God, there he is.'" O.J. was driving by at that moment. "I saw these headlights. He's constantly following me," Nicole had said at the time.

The next morning, on June 13, 1994, she woke up to her mother's scream after she received a phone call. "I heard my mom scream a scream that I had never heard from a human being," says Brown. "It was so guttural. Just awful."

Denise then grabbed the phone and learned that her sister and her friend, Ron Goldman, had been murdered on the front steps of the Los Angeles condominium. Denise said that she knew in her "soul" that O.J. had killed her sister.

"OJ Simpson. I knew in my heart, in my gut, in my soul that he killed Nicole. Everything started flashing back into my head," she said. "Everything about her relationship, everything over the 17 years."

Simpson was acquitted of the two murders in a trial the following year. A civil trial in 1997 found him liable. Later, he was convicted of armed robbery and kidnapping and served nine years in prison. Released in 2017, he died in 2024.

Since Nicole's death, Denise has been advocating against domestic violence. She has repeatedly spoken about her sister and the trauma she endured in her marriage to O.J. She is now writing a book about what she has learned titled "For My Sister Nicole."
