2024

Synopsis

College football has had a long standing tradition of postseason bowl games that players and fans alike got excited for. Since the inception of the college football playoff, not only have players been less interested in traditional non playoff bowl games, many fans and the media alike have been as well. What was once a tradition of playing other conferences and trying to put a stamp on the end of your season has become a glorified exhibition. In Bowls Half Empty we'll take a look at the formation of bowl games and how they spread throughout the years. We'll examine the different bowl organizations that tried to help create the best national championship all the way until our current state of postseason play. Finally I'll offer up two different ways to create a college football postseason outside the playoffs that college football players, fans and the media can all get behind.
